The City Manager also serves as the City’s Zoning Administrator. Inquiries regarding ordinances or interpretation of such should be directed to the City Manager at 696-1330 x 104. All forms and applications are available by clicking on the [forms and applications] tab at the top of this page.
The City Planning Commission and City Council spent approximately 18 months updating every City Ordinance (also called a recodification). After adopting the new Code of Ordinances in the spring of 2010, the City’s entire CODE OF ORDINANCES was made available online. If a property owner is unsure of their respective zoning district, they can ascertain their district by clicking on the City Zoning Map.
Before performing any construction or improvements (i.e. fences, signs, home occupations), property owners should either research the Code of Ordinances or contact the Zoning Administrator to ensure they are not in violation of any city ordinances or state laws.
