Russ Johnson

The City contracts with Infrastructure Alternatives for the day-to-day operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).  Mr. Russ Johnson is the Operator of Record for the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Russ married his wife Catina shortly after graduating high school and enlisting in the military.  Russ proudly served in the Army as a Unit Supply Sergeant for 2 years in the great state of Oklahoma. He then returned to his home town of Calumet, Michigan and began working in the waste treatment department for a small printed circuit board factory.  In 2001 Russ, his wife, and two daughters Noelle and Molly made the move to West Michigan to accept a job working for Infrastructure Alternatives, furthering his career in water treatment.  After running multiple water and wastewater treatment facilities throughout the West Michigan area, Russ was given the opportunity to become the Operator of Record for the City of Cedar Springs Wastewater Treatment Facility in July of 2008.   Russ likes to spend his free time four wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing, playing hockey and listening to all types of music with the exception of the country variety.
