Public Works Superintendent Roger Belknap joined the City of Cedar Springs on October 18, 2010. A life-long West Michigander, Roger grew up in nearby Sparta, attended Grand Valley State University, and worked 11 years for the Kent County Road Commission. Roger earned his B.S. in Public Administration in 1999, and his M.P.A. in 2008. The focus of Roger’s education and career has been Urban and Transportation Planning, and infrastructure Asset Management.
Roger and wife Denice have been married since 2001, and have two young, adorable children (Mitchell and Vanessa). The family attends Blythefield Hills Baptist Church, and in their spare time, they enjoy taking walks to Morley Park, watching football, and chasing after their greyhound, Stella.
