Charlie Watson has been a resident of Cedar Springs for nearly 44 years, graduating from Cedar Springs High School in 1982. He is currently serving his second term on the Cedar Springs City Council and serves on the Personnel & Compensation, the Local Government Liaison and Finance Committees.
Charlie recently completed the requirements to obtain his Level 1 Elected Official designation from the Michigan Municipal League.
He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Grand Rapids Community College. While Charlie has spent the last 18 years working for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Fire Department as a firefighter, he previously dedicated approximately 10 years to both the Cedar Springs Fire Department and Cedar Springs Police Department.
Charlie and his wife Ladonna have 4 children (Jeff, Chris, Charli Anne and Ashley.) In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
